Adriaan de Wit is a Dutch-Austrian artist. (piano, composition, vocal coach and photography)
Adriaan de Wit studied in Amsterdam and Salzburg piano, harpsichord, conducting and chamber music.
An accident on the left hand stopped his career as a concertpianist (Salzburg Festival, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Paris, Bruxelles, Berlin Philharmonie, Wien Musikverein, Zürich Tonhalle and musical partner of Edda Moser, Renata Tebaldi, Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Hans Zomer, Martina Arroyo, Roberta Alexander, Vlach Quartet Prag, Kai Moser, Rudolf Barshai, Nicolaus Harnoncourt, Roger Norrington, among others) and teacher at the world famous music university Mozarteum in Salzburg. He also worked with writers like Waltraut Rainer-Thiel , Paola Moretti, Marianne Figl.
Composer of operas : "Judith und Holofernes" (Libretto: Waltraut Rainer-Thiel) - premiere 1993; "Icarus" (Libretto: Paola Moretti) - premiere 1998, "Die Kavaleristin" (Libretto: Marianne Figl) - premiere 2012)
Adriaan de Wit wrote also chambermusic for Cello and Piano, Flute and Piano, Soprano and Stringquartett etc,
more than 60 Songs and commercial music.
Since 2011 I work as a fine art photographer.
