Adriaan de Wit (1952)
is a Dutch-Austrian pianist, composer, vocal coach and photographer.
Adriaan de Wit studied in Amsterdam and Salzburg piano, harpsichord, conducting and chamber music.
He has performed as soloist and partner of many well-known singers and instrumentalists on many major stages in Europe.

An accident in which his left wrist broke meant the end of his pianist career.
As a composer, Adriaan de Wit wrote several operas, chamber music, songs and commercial music.
The main operas are:
"Judith und Holofernes" (Libretto: Waltraut Rainer-Thiel) - premiere 1993; "Icarus" (Libretto: Paola Moretti) - premiere 1998, "Die Kavaleristin" (Libretto: Marianne Figl) - premiere 2012),
Adriaan de Wit was associated with the famous Mozarteum in Salburg as a piano teacher and vocal coach for more than thirty years.
Since 2015 he works as a fine art photographer and lives secluded in the south east of Austria.
